What was the weight with the 160hp.
The comparison would be interesting.

I have a standard 1983 M6-235c. No aerodynamic mods, no big tires or tailwheels. Empty weight is 1580lbs.

Empty weight as a MX-7-160 was approx 1363 before the MX-7-180B conversion.
The 160 numbers were calculated from factory weight plus various equipment additions: engine analyzer, (Garmin GNS-430, 8.50 tires)
Current weight was verified with certified scales.
Looks like the engine and prop swap, door mods, and skylight installation caused a 48 lb gain. I'm pretty happy with that.

Well worth 48lbs, especially as your Gwt goes from 2200 to 2500lbs too.

I will post my new weight this weekend. Getting it weighed after all the recent mods. I'm hoping to be under 1500. Jeremy anyway to up the gross to 2500 on old m4. I'm guessing not but didn't know if there was some magic you knew of.

FARMAULE nope, the earliest M4 was 2100lb gwt and it was upped to 2300b.
The M4-180V is also 2300b gwt.

Just got done weighing in. With new ext gear, 29in ABW, Mac C201 on the front and odyssey battery in the back it came in at 1454lbs. I'm pretty happy with that especially since I'm sporting the original razorback and who knows how many coats of paint?

Yellow Maule, that is an amazing weight. Good work! Do you have tip tanks installed?
