MX7-180 = 110 - 115 kts. at 75% burning 7 - 8 gph of MOGAS

Cannot speak for the M7-235...Jeremy?

59degree day and sealevel with standard temp lapse of 3.5degF per 1000ft and stock tyres 7.00x6 and no extra drag items.
MX7-180A 140mph tas
MX7-180 Cs prop 145 mph tas
M7 235 IO540 160 mph tas
M7 235 O540 158 mph tas
M7 260 IO540 169 mph tas
Important to look at the basic parameters at the top. Many older craft are out of rig and some pilots are fighting final trim and the servo system which can develope drag also.
I have managed these speeds on these models, the tri-gears are 5 mph slower for equivalent engine/prop.
