Aloha fellow Maule Pilots and aspiring Maule Pilots,

To prevent spammers and spambots from attempting to register, I have implemented Zane's of BCP solution (you have to show that you are "real" by answering an aviation related question before you can continue to register). Many kudos to Zane.

If you are a pilot, or want to be pilot, interested in Maules and wish to sign up as a NEW USER, please pre-register at the forum and fill in enough information to enable me to verify your genuine interest in Maules.

Good idea! Any laywers on board with comments to this suggestion?
On the other hand - I wouldn't expect to be able to find "a person" on the other end of the email to be able to sue. I deleted already several new user requests. ALthough it will be more work to double-check on new users, I think this will be a way to keep this board clean.

Any reasonable rule to belong to this org will most likely be upheld by the courts. When someone places porno on this site WITHOUT first informing the users that by clicking this thread they will be exposed to PRONO etc, etc, is already illegal in this country.
The expert computer folks can find who the sender is and I think each and every one of us would make a contribution for legal fee's. I think all of us are sick of getting hit with porn.
If you add the rule please do not forget to state: The prevailing party shall be intitled to reasonable attorney fee's.

Thank you. I see the difficulty with having 50 different states and agree that some global agreement every user has to agree upon, would be good.
I would appreciate if any laywer or legal expert on this message board would volunteer to write a 3 liner as to the purpose of this forum (exchange information and share flying stories etc. i.e that this forum is related to aviation and Maules and everybody agrees not to use abusive or offending language, publish or advertise porn or anything unrelated to aviation (ie no advertising at all) and would be liable to pay a fine of $10,000 and all occurring reasonable laywer and court fees.

What do you guys and gals think about this?

Read ebay's rules, they require any legal action be brought in California and if anyone brings a legal action in another state ebay will be intitled to $1,000.00 minimun. I'm sure they have 1st class legal staff and you can copy the terminology they have used without paying $450.00/hour for a good CA attorney.
