Not for hauling camping equipment and four people but I'd love to build a two place Maule with a radial engine and all "Greenhouse" observer windows for Russia.

The airplane is still here

Just no $$$ to get it or work on it or the engine.

If you could buy it in Rubles, it would be a Helluva deal. I understand that engine has been used for years to drive generators in remote locations.

The Murphy Moose originally was configured with that engine before they got rare.

Sorry for the delay in posting photos Chris. Had an off on the way home and ended up in hospital.

It is interesting to me that the two magnetos run different advances, and pretty large advances at that. Also, it is interesting how low the compression ratio is. I figure that would probably run on isopropyl alcohol and kerosene LOL.

Doc I dropped the bike when the front washed out on a bend at about 90-100kmh (66mph). Bike cartwheeled, I did too. Ended up just under the armco barrier with almost nil speed luckily. Protective clothing shredded. I have sore bits everywhere, some gravel burns, a ground down bit (end of finger), but nothing broken. In hospital as they were concerned about compartment syndrome in left leg and needed to scrub gravel out of the wounds.
Yeah, I'm ok. Sore.
Bike is not so lucky as they reckon in may cost more than insured value ($23k) to repair.
We repair, but getting another bike like the old one...
